Foods for fire season: Chinese dietary suggestions from Noemi at Anew Healing

Did you know? Foods have temperatures. During the summer season, we should up our intake of cooling foods that nourish Yin.

Noemi Martinez with Anew Healing has laid out a list of what we should add more of in the summertime.

  • Fruits, fruit juice, and infused water: Apple, lemon, kiwi, melons, orange, pear, pineapple, and tangerines

  • Veggies: Cucumbers, tomatoes, celery, raw salads

  • Drinks: Green, fennel or black tea, hibiscus water or tea, cacao

  • Additional foods: Yogurt, seafood (especially mussels and oysters)
